SMT Inspector

Shift:  Swing

Specific duties and responsibilities

• retrieve from material handlers the needed components for production
• assist in the set up surface mount line per build-specifications
• monitor surface mount machines
• apply, correct or replace solder paste to PCB’s as needed
• periodically inspect pasted boards prior to component placement
• inspect placement accuracy
• monitor drop bins and available machine drop data
• manage and track moisture sensitive parts
• monitor Europlacer machines to determine when components are running low and
• pre-load feeders as necessary
• place components by hand that can’t be placed by machine
• maintain downtime log
• process assembled boards through the reflow oven

Equipment used:

Ekra screen printer, MPM screen printer, Europlacer component placers, Austin American board washer, Vitronics board washer, conveyor belts, BTU and Vitronics reflow ovens, PC and printer, Austin American Stencil Cleaner.
