SMT Inspector

Shift:  Swing

Specific duties and responsibilities

• perform diversified assembly, rework, repair, inspection and test (ICT) on electronic assemblies
• read and interpret a variety of production documentation (setup sheets, flowcharts, assembly drawings) prior to production
• make or locate copies of assembly drawings and bills of material so as to be available during the build process
• inspect and/or repair product as necessary
• communicate with pre-reflow team and machine operators regarding defect information that can be then used to reduce defects
• use the defect tracking software to document defect data and file accordingly

Equipment used:

Conveyor belts, PC and printer, copier, calculator, soldering iron, scopes, heat gun, ERSA wash

Multi-tasking abilities, general inspection and rework knowledge, communication skills

Job qualifications (preferred, experience/skills/knowledge)

Current IPC A610 certification required.
An understanding of basic electronic components, materials and processes and/or prior experience of internship in a surface mount environment, previous solder training
